Spinning Yarns

Some of the talented ladies who belong to the Weavers Club here in Sun City West, Arizona were enjoying the beautiful weather and camaraderie while spinning yarn together.
Colorful socks and a red spinning wheel speak to this artist's personality.

YOU live in Sun City? I've heard of that place. Hmmm.... if I move there, I can improve my spinning and bead crochet skills! That looks like a great group of gals!

I do live in Sun City WEST! Sun City and Sun City West are right next to each other and Surprise is on the other side of Sun City West. Funny little cities with funny names. And, yes, you would love it here! The Weavers are really a special talented group of ladies!

I like art weaving (the kindergarten way, lol) but have not latched onto the idea of spinning. However, my daughter enjoys it with a simple drop spindle. Then she knits something lovely with her hand-made yarn. It's all such a pure and traditional activity, something very peaceful about that.

As I walked up to the group, a sense of peacefulness washed over me. The positive energy was amazing! They were completely in their own worlds and it showed on their faces.
