Free Ornament Tutorial

I'm so sorry! Thank you Barbara of Pinelands Patches and Beadscapes for letting me know my links are not connecting. I THINK it is fixed now and am crossing my fingers for tomorrow. You guessed it.....Polyform! Britta Lautenschlager's beautiful ornament can be found HERE.

I have a question, can you condition polymer by microwaving it for about 10 seconds?

I've always been told polymer should not go in the microwave, even to pre-warm. I learned that it is the "kneading" that activates the polymers to bind with each other. I actually hammer my polymer clay blocks to warm them up. I put a block in a plastic bag, sit on my living room carpet and hammer it with a heavy mallet until it is not hard anymore. Then I cut thin slices off to put through my pasta machine. Works well for me.

Thanks for the advice. My hands don't knead things very well, so if I shouldn't use the microwave, I'll have to get a mallet. Gene Black says he sits on his polymer for awhile!
