January, February and March's BJP

Bead Journal Projects for January, February and March.
Above-the inside reads, "I always try to balance the heavy with the light-a few tears of human spirit in with the sequins and fringes." by Bette Midler
Above inside reads: "You cannot prevent the birds of sadness from passing over your head, but you can prevent their making a nest in your hair." - Chinese Proverb
Inside: "If malice or envy were tangible and had a shape, it would be the shape of a boomerang." by Charley Reese
"Sometimes our thoughts and lives get a little smeared before we manage to make them clear again." - Whytefeather (I was complaining how unhappy I was with the smeared lettering). If you get a chance, read yesterday's comments. They are so powerful.

Your artwork is amazing. Its funny how we pick an idea, quote, or something that has touched us in one way or another and transform it to a work of art. No matter what our skill level is, it expresses our inner self and becomes a part of us. I was quite upset when you mentioned that you wanted to redo the boomerang piece. It is what it was meant to be. The slightly smeared letters reiterate what you were expressing in the face. The piece is perfect in its imperfection.

Awesome!!!!! And now we know why you had so much trouble with this month's journal. This was waiting for the right moment to come out and nothing else would do. ^_^

i liked looking at your pieces side by each. the bright colors carry through, and at the end of the year will tell a great story. this month's quote is a really good one. your beadwork is pretty awesome.

First of all, I really like your journal page. That face! Fabulous! Whytefeather's comment is so true. Isn't interesting how we learn from others' responses to our work?

I love your bead journals; the beautiful beaded depiction, the words you have chosen, and the reasons that you make them. The "malice...Boomerang" really resonated with me. I'm new to your work and look forward to viewing your back posts. I can already tell that you are a philosopher as well as an artist and I can't wait to read/see more when I get a bit of time .

Hi, Marlene! It is extremely difficult to get text to transfer well, but I think you did a fabulous job! The piece is charming! Congratulations on your feature at PCD today, too! Woo Hoo! :)
